On Monday March 8th it is International Women’s Day. This year the theme is ‘Choose To Challenge’.
A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change.
So let’s all choose to challenge.
How will you help forge a gender equal world?
Celebrate women’s achievement. Raise awareness against bias.
Take action for equality.
I have the point of view that it is us as individuals that create the change that is required. For the month of March I am choosing to challenge my thoughts and actions whilst I monitor what change this creates for me, around me and globally. What difference can I make with everything I choose to do and be?
How can you as an individual use #ChooseToChallenge? How aware are you of what you
could be choosing, challenging and changing that would create the greatest possibility for
As an individual I don’t see this as a fight for or against something. Instead I ask myself, “How
many different ways are there to choose to challenge?” As an individual how will you choose
to challenge? Challenges come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Could you challenge with
words, with pictures, with social media, with celebrations, with calls to action. How will you
choose to challenge?
How could you choose to challenge that someone else hasn’t considered yet? What could
you create? Would you be willing to question your thoughts, your points of view and your
actions to do with anything gender based and biased?
How could we look after and look out for each other in a way that’s never been considered
How do you choose to see the world and how do you choose to challenge what you see?
